I was in a thrift store the other day, and saw what looked like a peridot necklace. I thought, what luck. When I tried it on in front of a huge mirror, I knew that it was for me. There is a certain thing that necklaces do; I don’t know if anyone else has ever experienced this, when the necklace hangs in a certain way.
Some just look limp and lifeless, but others really stand out. They shape your neck and face, framing it in the best way possible. That’s what this necklace did and I can’t wait for my husband to take me out on the town to show it off.

My mom wore the best jewelry. I still think that everything that I like today is reflective of what she wore when I was a kid. I remember looking up at my mother, bigger than life, and seeing autumn leaves necklace hanging on her chest. I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to wear jewelry the way my mother did.
She didn’t pay a whole lot for the amazing looking jewelry that she bought. I thought that that added an extra element of discovery to the jewelry that she had. I am just like my mom, a bargain shopper at heart that wants to look classic.
